Electronic language international festival

FILE NAPOLI, the new Electronic Language International Festival, is a cultural, scientific and recreational event, to dive, in a direct, participatory and dynamic way, into the knowledge and discovery of the new applications of electronic languages, from visual arts to graphic design, from theatre to music, from dance to cinema, and more in the information, leisure and educational fields.
The concept was born in the light of the developments and impacts derived from the interaction among man, multimedia and technology, which, in recent times, have effectively redesigned forms and content of communication, culture, entertainment and creativity, unto generating a world, between real and virtual, constantly and rapidly evolving.
Realizing in Naples an Electronic Language International Festival, in the wake of other important success stories, including, among all, the File Festival of Saõ Paulo (Brazil), means becoming aware of this phenomenon and, at the same time, of the prospects and opportunities it can offer to our city and our Country, Italy, where there is still a huge gap compared to other European and world contexts.
FILE NAPOLI will try to give answers on the present and future of the Electronic Languages, through a multi-thematic and multi-disciplinary festival which offers a programme of theatre performances, electronic music concerts, installations for digital artists from Campania, educational workshops for schools and meetings with new media and new technologies experts, with free events open to the public.

Promoted by Città Nuova foundation and the cultural associations Interno5, Le Ali di Dedalo and Parresia and realized through the support of the Campania Region (POR FESR 2007-2013), the first edition will take place on May 14 -17, 2015, in locations which contain traces and suggestions of the ancient origins and the historical and cultural identity of the capital of Campania: the old town, with the Academy of Fine Arts, the Bellini Theatre, and the Phlegraean Fields, with the natural and beautiful landscape scenery of Monte Nuovo.
